DebtMath

Terms of Use

By using DebtMath you agree to these terms. They're short and plain on purpose.

Informational content only — not financial advice

DebtMath provides free calculators and articles for general educational purposes. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or credit-counseling advice, and using the site does not create any advisor–client relationship. Every household and debt is different; a calculator can't see your full situation. Before making a decision about paying off, consolidating, refinancing, or settling a debt, consult a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or a reputable nonprofit credit counselor.

Accuracy disclaimer

The results are estimates. Payoff dates, total interest, and savings figures are computed with standard amortization math that assumes a fixed interest rate, consistent on-time payments, and a regular monthly accrual. Your actual lender may compute interest differently — daily accrual, fees, promotional rates, variable APRs, statement timing, or how extra payments are applied can all change the real numbers. Always confirm balances, rates, and payoff amounts with your lender or servicer before acting. DebtMath makes no guarantee that any result is accurate, complete, or suitable for your circumstances, and is not liable for decisions made based on it.

Acceptable use

You may use DebtMath for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a scale that degrades service for others, or republish its content as your own. Site content and design are the property of Pond Software.

Third-party links and affiliate relationships

DebtMath links to third-party sites, some of them affiliate links (see the affiliate disclosure). DebtMath doesn't control those sites and isn't responsible for their content, products, or practices. Advertising and analytics are covered in the privacy policy.

"As is"

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pond Software is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, DebtMath.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version always lives on this page. Questions? Email mjpond@gmail.com or use the contact page.
