DebtMath

Privacy Policy

The short version: DebtMath does the debt math in your browser, doesn't ask you to sign in, and never sells your personal information. The detail is below.

The numbers you type into a calculator

Balances, interest rates, payments, and every other figure you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser to produce the result. They are not sent to, or stored on, a DebtMath server. Some pages read values from the URL (query parameters) so a calculator can open pre-filled to a scenario — that URL lives in your own browser history like any other web address.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

DebtMath uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators get used and where visitors come from. GA4 sets cookies and collects standard measurement data — a randomized identifier, pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP, which Google truncates), device and browser type, and referring site. This is aggregate traffic data; it is not tied to your name and DebtMath never uses it to identify you personally. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Advertising cookies

DebtMath may show display advertising from third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense. When ads are served, the ad provider and its partners may set or read cookies and similar identifiers to measure performance and, where permitted, to show more relevant ads. Third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review and adjust the ads Google shows you at Google My Ad Center and opt out of personalized advertising from many providers at aboutads.info.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to books and tools on Amazon through the Amazon Associates program. If you click one and buy something, DebtMath may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and Amazon may set cookies to attribute the sale. Full details are on the affiliate disclosure page.

What DebtMath does not do

  • No sale of personal data. DebtMath does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and does not sell your debt figures or contact details as leads.
  • No accounts or email capture. There is no login, no newsletter signup, and no contact form collecting your details.
  • No selling of leads to lenders. Your inputs are never packaged up and passed to banks, lenders, or debt-relief companies.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use a browser or extension that limits tracking. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies won't break any calculator — the math runs regardless.

Children

DebtMath is a general-audience informational site and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
